Sander Mölder is a classically trained Estonian composer, cellist, producer, artist, and DJ. He has become a household name in the Baltic electronic music scene and has amassed a notable following around Europe. Sander is known for his soulful production style, genre-defying DJ sets, and for bridging the gap between classical music and electronic dance music. He has performed at numerous venues, most notably the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Primavera Sound Festival in Barcelona, and the Open'er Festival in Poland.
Mölder’s debut album, "Matches," captured international attention, subsequently being featured on BBC1 shows hosted by Gilles Peterson and Mary-Anne Hobbs. His EP "TIKS 068" not only brought him more recognition but also won him the Estonian Music Award for Best Debut Album and Best Electronic Album in 2019. He has since released two more albums, “TIKS 086” and “TIKS 054,” in collaboration with Liisi Koikson and Marti Tärn, and an EP, “Lendas meie kopelisse,” with the folk ensemble RÜÜT.
Mölder's portfolio extends to the realm of stage works. In 2014, he co-wrote an opera with Marianna Liik, earning him a nomination for a musical theatre award in 2015. Together with composer Timo Steiner, Mölder has created three ballets since 2018, with the fourth one currently in the works.
He has also written music for various advertisements in Estonia and abroad. Some notable brands that have used his music in their adverts include DHC, Shiseido, Nissan, Mazda, Uniqlo, Balmuda, Oculus Quest, Tallink, LHV Bank, among others. In 2021, he won the title of Best Original Music for his Perrier Jouet campaign at the CICLOPE Asia Festival.
